Venture capital career: Managing General Partner at IDG Ventures Vietnam — Vietnam's first venture capital fund. IDG Ventures has invested in VNG, Vatgia, VC Corp and many other Vietnamese technology startups. His most notable deal: 10 years of negotiation to bring McDonald's to Vietnam. In 2014, the first McDonald's opened in HCMC with Henry Nguyen as Master Licensee. He is also Chairman of Los Angeles FC — the Major League Soccer (MLS) club he co-owns alongside stars such as Magic Johnson and Will Ferrell. He is the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
